Georgetown University, District of Columbia

Ehvyn McDaniels is currently a student at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies pursuing a Certificate in Early Intervention. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Georgetown, Ehvyn taught preschool at a child development center for homeless families. This experience opened her eyes to the impact early intervention services can have on children with disabilities and inspired her to return to school. With a particular interest in infant and toddler social emotional development, Ehvyn is currently examining the intersection of early intervention and early childhood mental health consultation. She hopes to eventually obtain a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and pursue a career in family therapy.
