Manuel L. Clark earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences in 2016 from the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) and is currently working to earn his Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services Administration and Nonprofit Management. He currently works as a Research Assistant for UMKC – Institute for Human Development. Manuel was previously an intern at the Kansas City CARE Health Clinic. He worked as a project coordinator for a Dietary Management Program for individuals with Type 2 Diabetes. He is interested in the ways social justice can be utilized to make room for the concerns of those with and without Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities in the broader conversation regarding equality. Manuel believes working with the Institute on a variety of projects is a fantastic way to increase his ability to be an ally in improving health outcomes.
