Sara is the coordinator of information dissemination for the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND). In this role, Sara oversees information, marketing, and accessibility regarding all of WIND's projects and disability resources, as well as coordinating WIND's marketing materials with the University of Wyoming. Sara is also a project coordinator for Wyoming Family to Family Health Information Center and Think College Wyoming projects, where she works closely with individuals with disabilities, families, and professionals. Sara is a 2015 Diversity and Inclusion Fellow for the Association of University Centers on Excellence in Disabilities (AUCD).

Since joining WIND in 2009, Sara has written articles for numerous state and national publications and coordinated the writing of grants, WIND websites, WIND annual reports, and various innovative project pieces. Sara maintains the Institute's social networking and communications through Facebook and Youtube. She advises the UW club Abilities, a student organization for students with disabilities and their allies. Sara serves on the Wyoming Governor's Council for Developmental Disabilities representing WIND.

Sara earned her Master of Arts in English in 2014 from the University of Wyoming. Her research focused on scarring, disability, and visual rhetorics of the body.

Interests

Sara enjoys knitting and is an avid yogi. She enjoys spending time with her two cats, Eva and Flaca, and her partner Quinn.
