Identify diverse populations in the State or Territory, including refugees and migrant workers. Partner with community leaders to learn about cultures. Identify strengths, gifts and needs of these populations at the grassroots level. Focus core efforts on maximizing strengths and meeting needs to help bridge the gap in resiliencies and disparities within your State or Territory.

Convene grantees and programs to enhance collaboration, spread best practices, and support innovative thinking on this topic. Prioritize this topic for a focused grantee meeting.

Broaden and diversify Board of Directors. Expand eligibility to individuals outside AUCD network, as well as underutilized leaders within the organization, to gain increasingly diverse perspectives and provide opportunities for Board members to hear from diverse network members. Specifically encourage folks from marginalized backgrounds to join BOD through personal outreach.
