Tanisha manages technical assistance activities of AUCD's contract with the Administration for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD). The contract is funded under the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 and provides funding for the UCEDD Resource Center (URC), supporting the national networks of AIDD-funded University Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDDs).

Prior to joining the AUCD team, Tanisha worked as the Program Planner Analyst for the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC), a UCEDD at the University of South Florida. In her role at FCIC, she worked on projects such as the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, and the Partnership for Effective Programs for Students with Autism. In addition, Tanisha served as the Academic Advisor for the Center's Graduate Certificate in Positive Behavior Support.

Tanisha earned a BA in Psychology with minors in both public health and general business administration, and an MPH with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of South Florida, where she was also a UCEDD trainee.

Interests

Tanisha loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys attending church, traveling and exploring, hiking (for beginners), reading when possible, going to the theater, watching movies, sight-seeing, visiting museums, playing games, and listening to music.
