Jennifer Chen is a 23-year-old second-generation Asian American that was born in Seattle, Wash., and moved east of Los Angeles, Ca. to San Gabriel Valley when she was 11 years old. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts at University of California, Berkeley in 2016 majoring in public health and minoring in disability studies. During Jennifer's undergraduate years in the Bay Area, she integrated herself into the community through volunteer work as a mentor for at-risk 5th graders and as a caseworker for Suitcase Clinic serving homeless women and their children, who are more likely to have disabilities. Jennifer is currently pursuing a Master of Science in public health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health within the Department of Population, Family, and Reproductive Health. She hopes to continue building skills to work with maternal and child health populations in traditionally-disadvantaged and underserved communities.
